“Dear Helios Care,
Please accept this donation in the name of our mom, Ruth Herricht. We wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude and appreciation for your exceptional support during her illness.
From our first visit with Amy, we found such comfort and relief knowing that the Helios Care team was there for us, and we were not alone. Teresa, Allison and Jackie taking our calls had compassion in their voices that helped to calm us. When Lauren returned our calls, she was most patient when listening to our concerns. Any instructions or suggestions she provided were clear and easy for us to understand. Lauren recognized when we needed personal support and scheduled for a nurse to make a visit. Mark called to check on us, making sure we were getting any support we needed. Jess, Jen, Eva Julie and Michele not only were very caring while tending to Mom’s needs but also great educators. They spent time to teach us about medications, the dying process, and things we could do to help Mom be comfortable. Mom enjoyed her visit form Garrett. His spiritual guidance seemed to put her at peace. His visit was very encouraging and uplifting to us as well. Jamie’s visits were greatly appreciated. Jamie was so gentle while caring for Mom and was able to make her comfortable. Mom took pleasure in their conversations. Paula’s visits were special for Mom. Paula was my dad’s healthcare aide several years ago. They had many stories to share and had some laughs. After Mom’s passing, Diana completed the final care. When she presented Mom to us, it was obvious that Diana is a compassionate and empathetic person. Mom was at rest, in peace.
To Ruth’s Helios team, we thank you.
Sincerely, Ruth’s daughters: Margaret Zuk, Anna Fuller, Ingrid Ulmer”
To let someone care for you is to be loved. From the gentle voice over the phone to a caring hand on your shoulder, our patients and their families receive compassionate care from every member of our team, at every level. Our employees and volunteers are the heart of our organization, transforming the lives of our patients and families to help them feel better and live brighter days. Our mission is “to make life easier for patients and families facing serious illness or end of life by providing choices, dignity, and compassionate care.”
We are an independent, nonprofit organization serving residents in Schoharie, Delaware and Otsego counties so your charitable gifts stay right here in our community. It’s heartening to know these tax-deductible gifts give Helios Care unrestricted funds that allow us to provide services such as massage therapy, spiritual counsel, and extended social worker services that are not covered by insurance, but we feel are instrumental to helping our patients and their families see brighter days.
For our patients we are privileged to serve, we thank you for your support and for being part of the Helios Care community.
